Growing up, I was the kid waking up early just to figure out what was going on with our home computer. My Dad saw that spark and let me start building PCs under his supervision. Tech has been part of me for as long as I can remember.

My interest in cybersecurity started from a famaily member being on the receiving end of a phishing attack. Instead of brushing it off, I wanted to understand how it happened, how someone crafted that email to look real, why it almost worked, and what I missed. That experience changed how I look at everything. Now I catch things I never would have noticed before, and I want to help other people do the same.

What keeps me in this field is the curiosity. I genuinely want to understand why threat actors do what they do and the steps they take to get in. Not just to react after something happens, but to get ahead of it. At the end of the day, every attack impacts a real person. Someone’s data, someone’s trust. That’s what drives me, keeping people safe from threats they don’t even see coming.

Today, I’m a cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure professional finishing my Master of Science in Cybersecurity at Western Governors University. My long-term focus is cloud security engineering, building and securing the infrastructure that everything else runs on.
