Career Tracker: Certification & Accomplishments Dashboard
Overview
Career Tracker is a personal dashboard I built to keep tabs on my certifications, training, and career milestones in one place. It has a public dashboard that shows the full picture and an admin panel where I log new entries as they happen. Instead of digging through emails or old notes to remember when something expires or what I finished last quarter, everything lives here.
What it tracks
The dashboard breaks down into four views:
- Certifications with earned dates, expiration countdowns, and status tags. Active certs show green, scheduled exams show purple, and anything expiring within 90 days flags amber so I don’t miss a renewal
- Training for courses and labs, tagged by type, with completion dates and in-progress tracking
- Accomplishments as a timeline. Passed an exam, shipped a project, landed an interview, whatever it is, it goes here. The dashboard surfaces the three most recent wins so I can see momentum at a glance
- Admin panel where I add, edit, and delete entries across all three categories
How it works
The interface is a clean dashboard with an icon rail sidebar for navigation. It’s designed to be fast to scan, not cluttered. Stats at the top give the numbers, tables give the detail, and the timeline gives the narrative. The admin panel uses modal forms for quick entry.
Currently runs on browser storage. The production build connects to Supabase for a real database and adds auth on the admin panel so only I can make changes while anyone can view the dashboard.
Why I built it
I have multiple active certifications with different renewal cycles, I’m finishing a master’s degree with coursework milestones, and I’m building portfolio projects at the same time. That’s a lot of moving pieces. I wanted something purpose-built for my workflow, not a spreadsheet or a notes app doing double duty. Building it as a web app also means I can share the link on my resume and portfolio, and anyone clicking through can immediately see my trajectory without me having to explain it.
